The numbers behind the decision

4–6%
Higher sale price
Homes with solar sell for up to 4–6% more than comparable homes without it. No solar is lost equity.
$1,500+
Wasted every year
The average U.S. household spends over $1,500 a year paying a utility company to make power it could be making itself.

Questions
Your questions, answered
How much does solar cost?
It depends on your roof and your usage. We do not publish a single price because it would be a lie — a small roof with low usage and a large roof with high usage land in very different places. What we will do is model your home, show you the full quote itemised, and tell you the number before you commit to anything.
How long does it take to install a solar system?
Home assessment and consultation happen within 5 days. Permitting takes 2–6 weeks, installation itself takes 1–2 days, and financing, incentives and utility connection take about 30 days. Most homes are solar in 8–12 weeks. Some companies make you wait up to two months after permit approval; we install within two weeks of approval.
How much can I save?
Most systems offset the large majority of a household’s electricity use, and 70% of solar homeowners report lower total monthly expenses within the first year of installation. Your exact figure comes from your own usage and roof, which is what the 3D model in the free consultation is for.
Do solar panels have to be on the front of my house?
No. What matters is orientation, not which street faces your house. A south-facing roof is ideal because it gets the most sun. We use black panels with black backing and hide the wiring so the array looks deliberate, and we will talk you through the options that suit your roof.
After installing solar, am I off the grid?
No, and that is the point. Your system stays connected to the grid, so you still draw power when you are not producing. Anything extra you generate goes back to the grid, and with net metering you get credit for it. That is what takes your bill to near zero rather than to a number you have to carefully manage.
What about my HOA rules?
Some HOAs have rules about exterior changes, and getting approval is a normal part of the process, not a red flag. If yours needs it, we handle the paperwork.
Can solar be installed during a roof replacement?
Yes, and it is the better sequence. We work alongside your roofing contractor so the two jobs do not fight each other. A roof under 5 years old is a good fit for panels; over 10 years, replacing first usually makes more sense.
Do I need a battery?
Not always. If your usage is mostly during daylight hours, a straightforward solar array does most of the work. A battery is worth it if you want to run the house through an outage or push toward full independence from the grid. We will model both and let the numbers decide.
Are solar panels covered by homeowners insurance?
Panels are a permanent part of the home and should be covered. Tell your provider after installation so they have it documented for any future claim.
What happens after installation?
You get monitoring that shows what your system is producing, and you can put cleaning, maintenance and service work back on the same team that installed it. We also handle removal and reinstallation if you ever sell the house and the buyer wants it taken down.
